Staring in June of 2014, I moved from my tenure track position to take on a non-tenure track position to focus my research time on instructional infrastructure development for UA South.

I also serve on several Masters and Doctoral Committees.

21st Century Learning Group 2005-Present

President

As President of the Group I consulted with variety of clients on the development and use of digital technologies. Two major projects were the development of web resources for the Water’s Systems Thinking Project and a website for the Office of Undergraduate Education at the University of Arizona.

I started the group in 2005 when I retired from the University. I had been in administration during all my career, teaching as an adjunct in my spare time. I had reached a position with the word "Senior" in it so I decided it was time to leave.

Two fortunate things happened after this. First it let me rediscover my love of Secondary Education. Second, it gave me the opportunity to un-retire and begin teaching in the ETCV program.

University of Arizona 1999-2005

Learning Technologies Center (LTC): Senior Consultant; 2004-2005

As one of four Senior Consultants I was responsible for developing, conducting and evaluating a variety of Professional Development opportunities for faculty. I coordinated these activities with the other consultants and LTC staff.

Digital Media Resource Center: Director; 2002-2004

As the Director of the Digital Media Resources Center I was responsibly for opening the Manual Pacheco Integrated Learning Center.  This 180,000 square foot instructional facility contains 14 classrooms ranging from a 300-student auditorium to 35-student classrooms.  I managed the eight member staff and a $1.5 million budget to support approximately 100 faculty members per semester.  I was responsible with managing the daily operations of the Media Center while coordinating the operations of the Center with the other members of the ILC; The library, University Teaching Center, University Collage, and University Technology Services.
As Building Manager, I was responsible for any infrastructure issues.

Humanities Computing and Technology: Director; 1985-2002

During my 17-year tenure as Director of Humanities Computing I was responsible for building the initial center. From 1985 to 1999, Humanities Computing provided all technical support for faculty, graduate students, and staff.  The center was also responsible for providing Professional Development for the College.     

Lab for Computer-Based Instruction: Associate Site Director; 1980-1985

As the Associate Director I assisted the Director in the management of the University’s PLATO system.  This included managing student staff, offering tours of the facility, and conducting outreach to the local community.

Physics and Linguistics: Project Coordinator; 1978-1985

As the Project Coordinator, I was responsible for coordinating the work of the Subject Matter Experts and the programming staff for the development of the Physics of the Lower Division Engineering Curriculum developed by Control Data. The project also developed instructional materials in Navajo for the Linguistics Department.

University of Arizona, South: Adjunct Lecturer, Educational Technology; 2005-2010

As an adjunct, I taught a number of courses within the Masters of Science in the Educational Technology Program.  See the courses taught during my current position for courses taught as an adjunct.

Educational Psychology: Adjunct Assistant Professor; 1996-2005

I taught face-to-face courses on Educational Technology. Courses included:

Computer Applications in Education, Design of the Learning Environment, Developing Electronic Portfolios, Issues in Implementing Technology in Education, and Multimedia Production in Education.
